正當基隆港西三倉庫正為了拆除與否，鬧得不可開交，台中市區廢棄多年的舊自來水廠宿舍，才剛化身為一間間文創小店。還有建於1937年的台中刑務所演武場，也開始了古六藝的教學。走過歷史的老屋若能真正的活化利用，便可看出這個城市的文化底蘊。台中，就是個文化豐厚之地。
